Covid-19 kills 8 people in Pakistan, infects 554 in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: 10, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has jumped to 1,278,114 on Wednesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 554 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.2 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 472,519 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 441,378, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 178,773, in Balochistan 33,356 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,198, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,395 while 34,495 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,566 deaths so far, after 8 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,957 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,599 in Sindh, 5,778 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 358 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 947 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,231,524, corona tests and 46,128 in last 24 hours and 1,226,590 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 451,541 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 420,744 in Punjab, 171,592 in KP, 32,876 in Balochistan, 105,933 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,195 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,709 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,167 patients are in critical condition.
