Covid-19 pandemic: Deaths exceed 5,258,362 worldwide, infections pass 265 million


WASHINGTON: 04, DECEMBER, 2021: The Covid-19 cases worldwide crossed 265 million (265,197,440) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,258,362 lives worldwide so far and 238,977,764 patients have been recuperated.
Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 49,878,049 and the total number of deaths has reached 808,116.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,624,360 cases with 470,530 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 22,129,409 patients and 615,454 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 10,379,647 and death toll rose to 145,424.
In Russia, 9,736,037 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 278,857.
Turkey reported 8,861,386 cases so far while death toll jumped to 77,417.
The coronavirus has infected 7,823,388 people in France and left 119,457 dead.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,129,199 and 130,066 have been died.
Germany registered 6,097,477 patients with 103,308 deaths.
Argentina recorded 5,337,692 COVID-19 cases with 116,639 fatalities so far.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 5,202,958 with 88,159 deaths.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 134,077 in Italy while 5,077,445 infections recorded.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,076,378 and death toll crossed 128,685.
The death toll from Coronavirus in Indonesia has risen nearly 143,858 with 4,257,243 people affected. (04)
