Covid-19 pandemic: No deaths reported in Pakistan for 2nd straight day

ISLAMABAD: 24, MARCH, 2022: Covid-19 cases tally in the country has jumped to 1,523,072 on Thursday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 210 persons infected with the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.69 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 574,239 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 504,639 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 218,819 in Balochistan 35,460 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 135,003, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 11,675 while 43,237 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 30,333 deaths so far while no deaths recorded today Thursday.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,551 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 8,092 in Sindh, 6,307 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 378 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 1,022 deaths and AJK recorded 792 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 27,268,079 corona tests and 30,054 in last 24 hours and 1,484,676 patients have been recovered.
Reportedly, 560,156 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 490,102 in Punjab, 211,691 in KP, 35,070 in Balochistan, 133,799 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 11,446 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 42,412 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan while 445 patients are in critical condition.
