Covid-19 pandemic: Pakistan reports 482 cases with three deaths

ISLAMABAD: 30, DECEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus infections tally in the country has mounted to 1,294,861 on Thursday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 482 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.95 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 481,381 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 444,862, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 181,334, in Balochistan 33,630 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 108,565, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,429 while 34,660 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,921 deaths so far, after three fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,066 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,666 in Sindh, 5,927 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 363 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 967 deaths and AJK recorded 746 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 23,324,549, corona tests and 50,662 in last 24 hours and 1,255,931 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 467,364 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 429,108 in Punjab, 174,852 in KP, 33,180 in Balochistan, 107,307 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,241 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,879 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 639 patients are in critical condition.
