Covid-19 pandemic claims 5,129,836 lives worldwide, infections pass 255 million

LONDON: 17, NOVEMBER, 2021: The Covid-19 infections worldwide crossed 255 million (255,099,514) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,129,836 lives worldwide so far and 230,635,391 patients have been recuperated.
Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 48,161,377 and the total number of deaths has reached 786,268.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,466,598 cases with 464,153 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 21,965,684 patients and 611,524 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 9,637,190 and death toll rose to 143,159.
In Russia, 9,145,912 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 257,837.
Turkey reported 8,457,119 cases so far while death toll jumped to 73,973.
The coronavirus has infected 7,310,664 people in France and left 118,271 dead.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,051,642 and 128,406 have been died.
Argentina recorded 5,308,781 COVID-19 cases with 116,294 fatalities so far.
Germany registered 5,108,904 patients with 98,660 deaths.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 5,061,045 with 87,745 deaths.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,036,287 and death toll crossed 127,865.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 132,893 in Italy while 4,873,075 infections recorded.
