Death toll from COVID-19 in Pakistan touches 12,276 with 1,262 more cases

ISLAMABAD: 13, FEBRUARY, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases has reached 561,625 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 1,262 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the total count of active cases increased up to 25,649.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 253,090 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 163,367, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 69,386, in Balochistan 18,924 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 42,513, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,937 while 9,408 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 12,276 deaths so far, after 58 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 5,026 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 4,199 in Sindh, 1,986 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 197 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 484 deaths and AJK recorded 281 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 8,399,623 corona tests and 37,115 in last 24 hours and 523,700 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 234,584 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 150,984 in Punjab, 65,349 in KP, 18,634 in Balochistan, 40,674 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4,805 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 8,670 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,692 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
