Dengue virus claims another four lives in Punjab bringing death toll to 100

LAHORE: 17, NOVEMBER, 2021: Dengue continues to rise in parts of country as 274 another cases surfaced during last 24 hours.
According to details, 163 cases of dengue were reported in capital while 111 people infected with the dengue virus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Dengue virus took four more lives in Punjab today (Wednesday).
So far, nine people have lost their lives Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) while 100 people died due to virus in Punjab.
Delay in fumigation by the administration resulted in an upsurge in dengue patients this season, the sources said.
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease that has rapidly spread in all regions in recent years.
Dengue is widespread throughout the tropics, with local variations in risk influenced by rainfall, temperature, relative humidity and unplanned rapid urbanization. (04)
