Dengue virus claims two lives in Punjab, 314 more cases surface in parts of country

LAHORE: 16, NOVEMBER, 2021: Dengue continues to rise in parts of country as 314 another cases surfaced during last 24 hours.
According to details, 40 cases of dengue were reported in capital while 150 people infected with the dengue virus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Dengue virus took two more lives in Punjab today (Tuesday).
So far, nine people have lost their lives Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Delay in fumigation by the administration resulted in an upsurge in dengue patients this season, the sources said.
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease that has rapidly spread in all regions in recent years.
Dengue is widespread throughout the tropics, with local variations in risk influenced by rainfall, temperature, relative humidity and unplanned rapid urbanization. (04)
