Dense fog continues to grip parts of Punjab

LAHORE: 17, JANUARY, 2022: Dense fog paralyzed routine life and disrupted normal road, rail and air traffic to and from various cities in Punjab on night between Sunday and Monday.
According to details, the authorities also temporarily closed the motorways due to low visibility including ahore Motorway (M2) from Thokar Niaz Baig to Kot Momin, Motorway M3 from Rajana to Darkhana, Motorway M4 from Bahu Interchange to Abdul Hakin and Gojra Interchange, Motorway M5 from Sher Shah to Rahim Yar Khan and Motorway M11 from Lahore to Sambrial.
The Motorway police have appealed the drivers to use Grand Trunk (GT) Road for travelling.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights during driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to very low owing to dense fog while people have also been directed to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling as visibility was down to zero metres at some places.
