Encroachment case: Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah appears before SC

CM Sindh appeared along with Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani and provincial government spokesman Murtaza Wahab.
While talking to media after the appearance before court, CM said that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and DMCs are responsible for removal of encroachments adding that We have informed the court that it took 40 years to expand Shahrah-e-Faisal from three to four lanes.
Earlier today, SC has summoned Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in a case pertaining to removal of illegal encroachments in Karachi.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed, during the hearing at the SC Karachi registry, asked about the progress of implementation on court's order regarding anti-encroachment drive and dismayed over the failure to present report on it.
It may be recalled that the Supreme Court had directed Sindh government to demolish all the buildings illegally constructed on railways land.
Following the directives, the authorities had launched an operation against illegal encroachments in the port city. (04)
