KARACHI: 26, NOVEMBER, 2021: The Sindh High Court on Friday allowed Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) MPA Faryal Talpur to travel abroad to meet her ailing daughter in the United Kingdom.
Justice K.K. Agha heard the petition moved by PPP leader to get her name removed from the no-fly list.
The bench expressed anger over no response from the interior ministry and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
In his argument, the NAB prosecutor before the court said that "PPP MPA's name is placed on the Exit Control List (ECL), but the anti-graft body has no objection over one time visit of the PPP lawmaker to abroad."
A week ago, the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday issued notices to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), federal interior ministry and others on a petition filed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Assembly member Faryal Talpur, to seek permission to travel abroad.
Her counsel requested the high court to grant a one-time permission to the petitioner to look after her ailing daughter for four weeks in the United Kingdom. (04)
