Fawad Chaudhry granted bail

Islamabad: 2 Feb 2023: Fawad Chaudhry, the leader of the PTI, was granted bail on Wednesday by an Islamabad district and sessions court with the condition that he refrain from using any language that could promote violence against a constitutional institution.
On January 25, Chaudhry was detained for allegedly "inciting violence against a constitutional institution," the Pakistani Election Commission (ECP).
At the Kohsar police station in Islamabad, a first information report (FIR) was filed against him in response to a complaint from ECP Secretary Umar Hameed.
Further Sessions The PTI leader was today granted bail in exchange for surety bonds totaling Rs 20,000 by Judge Faizan Haider Gillani.
While Saad Hassan spoke on behalf of the ECP, Fawad's legal counsel Faisal Chaudhry, Babar Awan, and Ali Bukhari were present in the court.
