Female sports journalists are making statements in the field of sports

Karachi: 1 February 2021: Not only has Pakistan cricket hit a purple patch with teams now gracing our shed and PSL taking flight as a world class brand, enterprising young female anchors/presenters/commentators are now firmly occupying the crease out in the field, studios and commentators box.
These are just four, more visible faces. Zainab Abbas is an established international star, of course. Two former captains, Urooj Mumtaz and Sana Mir, are also holding their own. Not that this is a first.
Afia Salam and Fareshteh Aslam were leading lights long before the electric media gravitas helped usher these young ladies. Aaliya Rashid also made a name for herself. We're all so proud of them.
