Fire erupts in Karachi cloth godown

KARACHI: 05, JANUARY, 2022: Fire erupted in a cloth godown in Karachi in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to details, fire broke out in a cloth warehouse located near Godhra Nullah Stop area in Karachi which spread rapidly and engulfed the entire godown.
On receiving information about the incident, five fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort.
No loss of life was reported in the incident. However, cloth and other valuables worth millions of rupees were destroyed by the fire.
Earlier, on December 3, fire erupted at a towel factory godown located in Karachi in the wee hours of Monday.
According to details, fire broke out at a towel factory warehouse's ground floor near near Saba Cinema in the city.
On receiving information about the incident, 14 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot to control the blaze.
The fire brigade officials have declared the inferno as third degree fire.
Fire brigade official said no human loss was reported in the incident. (04)
