Karachi: 7 Dec 2023: Authorities in Karachi's Federal B Area said that a fire broke out at a multi-story commercial-residential structure close to Ayesha Manzil on Wednesday, killing three people and injuring at least one more. Television footage showed black smoke rising into the sky as the building caught fire.
Additionally, firefighters were shown making an effort to put out the vivid orange flames. According to news reports, there was a traffic bottleneck in the neighborhood and the fire had destroyed cars that were parked close to the structure.
The incident comes just days after 11 people were kill when a huge fire ripped through a six-storey commercial building in the city’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar area.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab said that a “third dead body” had been found. He had earlier said that he had been informed of “two casualties”, adding that he was present at the site.
