THATTA: 17, DECEMBER, 2020: At least five people lost their lives while five others were seriously injured in a collision between a van and oil tanker at the National Highway in Gharo near Thatta on late Wednesday night. 

According to details, the road crash took place at National Highway in Gharo Golai area near Thatta where a van collided with an oil tanker, as a result five people died on the spot whereas five others were severely wounded.

The dead and injured were moved to Tehsil Hospital Gharo via police van as ambulance failed to rush at the scene. 

The ill-fated van was going to Umarkot from Dhabeji. 

Earlier, on November 26, at least two people, including a minor lost their lives while 20 others were injured when a speeding bus turned turtle in Khairpur, Sindh province on Wednesday night.

According to details, the mishap took place in Khairpur, Sindh province where the passenger bus overturned due to its tie rod was broken, as a result, two persons including a child died on the spot and 20 others were wounded.

The ill-fated bus was going to Karachi from Khairpur. After being informed, police and locals have tranferred the dead and injured to nearby hospital. (04)
