LAHORE: 22, OCTOBER, 2021: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah on Friday has said the general masses will take a sigh of relief when corrupt and incompetent PTI will leave the government.
He urged the people to join protest demonstrations against inflation in the country.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will hold a protest rally in Lahore today (Friday) against the growing inflation and unemployment in the country, sources said.
According to party sources, opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly and PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz will lead the rally.
The decision to stage the countrywide protests and demonstrations was taken at a high-level meeting of the party under the chair of PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif.
It was decided to take direct action to protect the rights of the people.
The demonstrations against rising inflation will be held in various cities across the country including Lahore, Peshawar, Sargodha, Khushaab, Mianwali, Bhakhar, Jhang, Joharabad and other cities of the Punjab province.
Earlier, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman earlier announced that within the next two weeks, the Opposition will hold countrywide protests against the growing inflation.
"As soon as we are done with the celebrations of the Eid Milad un Nabi (SAW), we will start a full-fledged campaign against inflation," he said while speaking to the media after holding an information meeting with party members in Islamabad.
The PDM head requested the public to take to the streets against rising inflation, unemployment.
"We appeal to the entire nation to fully participate in the protests and rallies," he said while giving details of how the government incurred debts and increased inflation in the country. (04)
