Global Corona Claims 5,583,969 Lives, Cases Pass 339 Million

LONDON: 20, JANUARY, 2022: The Covid-19 cases worldwide passed 339 million (339,543,239) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,583,969 lives worldwide so far and 273,200,336 patients have been recuperated.

The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 69,808,350 and the total number of deaths has reached 880,976.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 38,218,773 cases with 487,719 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 23,420,861 patients and 621,927 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 15,506,750 and death toll rose to 152,872.
The coronavirus has infected 15,175,464 people in France and left 127,869 dead.
In Russia, 10,899,411 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 323,376.
Turkey reported 10,664,372 cases so far while death toll jumped to 85,253.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 142,206 in Italy while 9,219,391 infections recorded.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 8,676,916 with 91,437 deaths.
Germany registered 8,262,398 patients with 116,868 deaths.
Argentina recorded 7,446,626 COVID-19 cases with 118,628 fatalities so far.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,231,909 and 132,132 have been died.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,624,520 and death toll crossed 131,437.
