Global Covid-19 cases cross 236 million, deaths touch 4,831,738

WASHINGTON: 06, OCTOBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus infections worldwide has crossed 236 million (236,602,658) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 4,831,738 lives worldwide so far and 213,735,148 patients have been recuperated.

Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:

The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 44,781,200 and the total number of deaths has reached 724,728. 

India, the second hardest-hit country reported 33,871,881 cases with 449,568 deaths.

Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 21,499,074 patients and 598,871 deaths.

In UK, the virus infections reached 7,967,985 and death toll rose to 137,152.

In Russia, 7,637,427 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 211,696.

Turkey reported 7,296,879 cases so far while death toll jumped to 65,137.

The coronavirus has infected 7,033,755 people in France and left 116,923 dead.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 5,651,961 and 121,563 have been died.

Argentina recorded 5,261,935 COVID-19 cases with 115,323 fatalities so far.

Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 4,967,200 with 86,621 deaths.

The number of cases in Colombia surged 4,964,454 and death toll crossed 126,455.

The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 131,118 in Italy while 4,686,109 infections recorded.

Germany registered 4,272,750 patients with 94,419 deaths.

The death toll from Coronavirus in Indonesia has risen nearly 142,338, with 4,221,610 people affected.

On the other hand, Mexico reported 3,691,924 cases so far with 279,894 fatalities. (04)
