Global Covid-19 infections pass 241 million, death toll touches 4,914,345

WASHINGTON: 18, OCTOBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus infections worldwide has passed 241 million (241,486,489) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 4,914,345 lives worldwide so far and 218,723,285 patients have been recuperated.
Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 45,792,532 and the total number of deaths has reached 744,546.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,081,315 cases with 452,321 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 21,644,464 patients and 603,324 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 8,449,165 and death toll rose to 138,584.
In Russia, 7,992,687 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 223,312.
Turkey reported 7,654,277 cases so far while death toll jumped to 67,623.
The coronavirus has infected 7,089,052 people in France and left 117,265 dead.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 5,784,815 and 124,075 have been died.
Argentina recorded 5,272,551 COVID-19 cases with 115,666 fatalities so far.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 4,984,386 with 86,974 deaths.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 4,981,532 and death toll crossed 126,865.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 131,541 in Italy while 4,717,899 infections recorded.
Germany registered 4,393,221 patients with 95,454 deaths.
The death toll from Coronavirus in Indonesia has risen nearly 142,952, with 4,234,758 people affected.
