Global coronavirus cases pass 217 million, death toll jumps to 4,515,053

WASHINGTON: 30, AUGUST, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases worldwide has crossed 217 million (217,214,884) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 4,515,053 lives worldwide so far and 194,114,330 patients have been recuperated.

Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 10 affected countries:

The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 39,665,515 and the total number of deaths has reached 654,689. 

India, the second hardest-hit country reported 32,737,569 cases with 438,387 deaths.

Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 20,741,815 patients and 579,330 deaths.

In Russia, 6,882,827 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 181,637.

The coronavirus has infected 6,742,488 people in France and left 114,210 dead.

In UK, the virus infections reached 6,731,423 and death toll rose to 132,437.

Turkey reported 6,346,881 cases so far while death toll jumped to 56,213.

Argentina recorded 5,173,531 COVID-19 cases with 111,383 fatalities so far.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 4,926,964 and 106,482 have been died. 

The number of cases in Colombia surged 4,905,258 and death toll crossed 124,811. 

Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 4,831,809 with 84,000 deaths.

The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 129,093 in Italy while 4,530,246 infections recorded.

Indonesia reported 4,073,831 cases so far with 131,923 fatalities.

On the other hand, Germany registered 3,940,211 patients with 92,643 deaths.

The death toll from Coronavirus in Mexico has risen 258,165 with 3,355,700 people affected. (04)
