Global coronavirus cases pass 222 million, death toll reaches 4,600,242

WASHINGTON: 08, SEPTEMBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases worldwide has passed 222 million (222,784,021) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 4,600,242 lives worldwide so far and 199,309,673 patients have been recuperated.

Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 10 affected countries:

The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 41,206,672 and the total number of deaths has reached 669,022. 

India, the second hardest-hit country reported 33,096,718 cases with 441,443 deaths.

Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 20,913,578 patients and 584,208 deaths.

In UK, the virus infections reached 7,056,106 and death toll rose to 133,483.

In Russia, 7,047,880 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 188,785.

The coronavirus has infected 6,854,028 people in France and left 115,159 dead.

Turkey reported 6,542,654 cases so far while death toll jumped to 58,651.

Argentina recorded 5,211,801 COVID-19 cases with 112,851 fatalities so far.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 5,184,124 and 111,892 have been died.

The number of cases in Colombia surged 4,921,410 and death toll crossed 125,378.

Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 4,892,640 with 85,066 deaths.

The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 129,638 in Italy while 4,579,502 infections recorded.

Indonesia reported 4,140,634 cases so far with 137,156 fatalities.

On the other hand, Germany registered 4,029,849 patients with 92,949 deaths.

The death toll from Coronavirus in Mexico has risen 264,541 with 3,449,295 people affected. (04)
