Global coronavirus death toll hits 2,263,274

WASHINGTON: 03, FEBRUARY, 2021: The countries all over the world are facing continuous spike in COVID-19 related cases and deaths, despite the strict restrictions.
The number of coronavirus cases recorded worldwide has crossed 104 million (104,416,382), according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 2,263,274 lives worldwide so far and 76,297,616 patients have been recuperated.
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 27,027,347 and the total number of deaths has reached 457,856.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 10,778,206 cases with 154,635 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 9,286,256 patients and 226,383 deaths.
In Russia, 3,884,730 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 74,158.
South Africa, the fifth highest number of infections in the world, after the US, Brazil, India and Russia.
The death toll from Coronavirus in South Africa has risen nearly 44,946, with 1,458,958 people affected.
In UK, the virus infections reached 3,852,623 and death toll rose to 108,013.
On the other hand, Mexico reported 1,874,092 cases so far with 159,533 fatalities.
The coronavirus has infected more than 3,224,798 people in France and left 77,238 dead.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 2,881,793 with 59,805 deaths.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 1,431,416 and 58,110 have been died.
Turkey reported 2,492,977 cases so far while death toll jumped to 26,237.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 89,344 in Italy while 2,570,608 infections recorded.
Germany registered 2,239,943 patients with 59,386 deaths.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 2,114,597 and death toll crossed 54,576.
