Global coronavirus death toll hits 5,498,690

LONDON: 08, JANUARY, 2022: The Covid-19 cases worldwide passed 303 million (303,920,243) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,498,690 lives worldwide so far and 258,367,718 patients have been recuperated.

The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 60,464,426 and the total number of deaths has reached 858,346.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 35,368,372 cases with 483,463 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 22,450,222 patients and 619,878 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 14,193,228 and death toll rose to 149,744.
The coronavirus has infected 11,511,452 people in France and left 125,206 dead.
In Russia, 10,634,603 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 315,400.
Turkey reported 9,850,488 cases so far while death toll jumped to 83,388.
Germany registered 7,458,396 patients with 114,491 deaths.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 7,164,906 with 89,934 deaths.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 138,697 in Italy while 7,083,762 infections recorded.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,204,224 and 131,821 have been died.
Argentina recorded 6,135,836 COVID-19 cases with 117,428 fatalities so far.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,268,862 and death toll crossed 130,250.
