Global coronavirus deaths exceed 4,904,835, infections cross 240 million

WASHINGTON: 16, OCTOBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases worldwide has crossed 240 million (240,837,649) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 4,904,835 lives worldwide so far and 218,110,894 patients have been recuperated.
Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 45,738,585 and the total number of deaths has reached 743,880.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,053,573 cases with 452,010 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 21,627,476 patients and 602,727 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 8,361,651 and death toll rose to 138,379.
In Russia, 7,925,176 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 221,313.
Turkey reported 7,601,626 cases so far while death toll jumped to 67,225.
The coronavirus has infected 7,080,375 people in France and left 117,245 dead.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 5,765,904 and 123,695 have been died.
Argentina recorded 5,271,361 COVID-19 cases with 115,660 fatalities so far.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 4,984,386 with 86,974 deaths.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 4,978,689 and death toll crossed 126,796.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 131,503 in Italy while 4,712,482 infections recorded.
Germany registered 4,377,899 patients with 95,416 deaths.
The death toll from Coronavirus in Indonesia has risen nearly 142,889, with 4,233,014 people affected.
