Global coronavirus infections cross 269 million, 5,312,017 deaths reported


WASHINGTON: 11, DECEMBER, 2021: The Covid-19 cases worldwide crossed 269 million (269,447,401) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,312,017 lives worldwide so far and 242,297,463 patients have been recuperated.
Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 50,705,257 and the total number of deaths has reached 817,326.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,682,736 cases with 475,128 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 22,184,824 patients and 616,733 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 10,719,165 and death toll rose to 146,255.
In Russia, 9,956,676 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 287,180.
Turkey reported 9,002,968 cases so far while death toll jumped to 78,778.
The coronavirus has infected 8,105,785 people in France and left 120,168 dead.
Germany registered 6,463,737 patients with 105,931 deaths.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,150,843 and 130,603 have been died.
Argentina recorded 5,354,440 COVID-19 cases with 116,748 fatalities so far.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 5,290,190 with 88,381 deaths.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 134,669 in Italy while 5,185,270 infections recorded.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,089,695 and death toll crossed 129,011.
The death toll from Coronavirus in Indonesia has risen nearly 143,923 with 4,258,752 people affected. (04)
