On occasions, their silver, silk, and livestock are taken away by force. Even family honour is threatened at times. Karbala is one rare, tragic example in the human history that tested Imam Hussain’s (AS) faith, character, and resolve in the face of extreme hardships, inflicted on him, and his family, all at the same time. Hussain remained undeterred, choosing to offer sacrifices in blood, and tears with valour, and fortitude. He stood tall, and steadfast, refusing to pay allegiance to tyranny, injustice, and falsehood. Pronouncing victory, the adversaries of Hussain boasted that they avenged Badr at Karbala. Who stood where at Badr?
