IHC hears Faisal Vawda disqualification case, terms his attitude as non-serious

ISLAMABAD: 14, JANUARY, 2021: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday has termed the attitude of the Federal Minister Faisal Vawda as non-serious.
According to sources, the Islamabad High Court has conducted hearing of disqualification case against Faisal Vawda.
During the hearing, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) judge suggested to send the copy of the notice to the Federal Cabinet.
The petitioner said that the minister has not submitted his reply yet despite concluding 16 hearings of the aforsaid case.
The court has adjourned the hearing till February 8.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chairman Aman Taraki Party, Faiq Shah filed a petition against Vawda, in which he stated that he is no longer Sadiq and Ameen (truthful and trustworthy) as he hidden his dual citizenship and submitted a false affidavit in the ECP with his nomination papers.
The petitioner has alleged that the water resources minister had concealed this fact from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and not disclosed his dual nationality in the nomination papers.
Faisal Vawda was a US citizen while submitting the 2018 election nomination form, and the PTI leader submitted a fake affidavit. (04)
