Karachi Shershah blast: Death toll mounts to 18

KARACHI: 22, DECEMBER, 2021: Death toll from explosion in Karachi's Shershah area has mounted to 18 after the injured people identified as Jamil Ahmed died during treatment at a hospital in the wee hours of Wednesday.
His body was dispatched to his native village in Punjab’s Rajanpur for last rites.
On Dec 18, a building housing a private bank collapsed after an explosion.
In a report, a bomb disposal squad (BDS) stated that the blast happened due to the release of gases from the sewerage line beneath the building housing the bank and another office. (04)
