Hyderabad: 4 February 2022: Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed in University of Sindh, on behalf of Bureau of STAGS at Shaikh Ayaz Auditorium, Arts Faculty Building today. Worthy Vice Chancellor, Professor (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Siddiq Kalhoro graced the occasion, while large number of students and faculty members attended it. The Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Siddiq Kalhoro sb repeated the vow to be with Kashmiri Brethren not as separate body but as a part of our existence. He said that Kashmir is bleeding while the rest of the world is busy in other issues. He appreciated the participation of the students and praised the speeches, poetry and other items presented by the students. He highlighted the continuous series of awareness campaign by Sindh University Jamshoro in these days and emphasized on the creation of narrative to highlight the Kashmir day. Prof. Dr Arfana Mallah also highlighted the importance of Kashmir Day and the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people and our contribution in creating narrative sovereignty of Kashmiri people. Prof. Dr Rafiq Chandio sb highlighted the long lasting atrocities of Indian government and its army deployment disrespecting the international laws and rules on humanitarian grounds. Prof Dr Shujja Ahmed Mahesar also highlighted the condition of bleeding Kashmiri people and the stance of Pakistan for the freedom of Kashmir. Director Bureau of STAGS Dr Ghazala Pahnwar also highlighted the case of respecting the opinion of Kashmiri people and emphasized to listen their voices. In the last Dr-Mubarak Lashari expressed the vote of thanks to all the participants and quoted Shah Latif's verse on the theme of Freedom from the melody of Sur Marvi. The National Anthem was played on the occasion. Many students participated in speech, poetry, Naat and other activities.
