Khairpur: 25 hurt as bus turns turtle

KHAIRPUR: 30, DECEMBER, 2021: At least 25 persons were injured when a passenger bus turned turtle in Khairpur in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to details, the incident occurred in Khairpur where an over-speeding bus overturned while taking a sharp turn in Kot Diji, as a result, as many as 25 people were wounded.
The ill-fated bus was going to Karachi from Punjab.
On receiving information, police and rescue teams reached the spot and transferred the injured to Civil Hospital where five critically wounded persons were refered to Sukkur.
As per sources, women and children were among the injured.
Earlier, on Decemeber 28, at least two persons were dead while 16 others were wounded in a road accident in Jamshoro in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to details, the accident took place in Jamshoro where a bus carrying Pakistan People's Party workers who were returning from Garhi Khuda Baksh to Karachi after attending the public meeting in connection with Benazir Bhutto's death anniversary collided with another bus going to Sehwan from Karachi at the Indus Highway in Jamshoro.
As a result of collision, two persons died on the spot and 16 others including women and children were seriously injured.
After being informed, rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead and injured to hospital. (04)
