Kuwait plans to extend month-long partial curfew to control Covid-19 spread

KUWAIT CITY: 02, APRIL, 2021: In Kuwait, a month-long partial curfew will be extended that had been due to end next week until April 22 in an effort to control the coronavirus spread, the authorities said.
Accordig to concerned sources, the country on Thursday said "It would extend a month-long partial curfew that had been due to end next week until April 22."
In a statement on Twitter, the cabinet said the curfew would be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. as of April 8.
The cabinet said deliveries from restaurants, cafes and food stores would be permitted during the fasting month of Ramadan, which begins in mid-April this year, between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.
The number of coronavirus cases in Kuwait has surged 233,521 after 1,282 new infections reported on Thursday while the death toll from the novel virus has jumped to 1,319 and 217,873 patients have been recuperated from the deadly disease.
The coronavirus cases tally worldwide has crossed 130 million (130,186,559), according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 2,840,296 lives worldwide so far and 104,898,554 patients have been recovered. (04)
