Last and total solar eclipse of this year to occur today

ISLAMABAD: 14, DECEMBER, 2020: The last and total solar eclipse of this year will occur today in South Africa, South America, the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.
The eclipse will start at 6:34 pm and end at 11:53 pm according to Pakistani Standard Time (PST).
Astronomers say that a total solar eclipse occurs when the moon completely covers the sun.
According to Time and Date, part of South Africa, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctica will be able to see atleast a partial solar eclipse.
It should be noted that the previous solar eclipse was observed in Pakistan on June 21, 2020 and 98% eclipse was observed in Sukkur.
This year the sun eclipsed twice and the moon 4 times. This year there were lunar eclipses on January 10, June 5, July 4 and 30.
Remember that the first eclipse in the year 2020 took place on June 21 and the second will take place today, December 14.
The first lunar eclipse of the year 2021 will take place on May 26 and the solar eclipse on June 10, 2021. (04)
