WASHINGTON: 22, OCTOBER, 2021: At least four people were killed in a firing incident in Tacoma, Washington state on Thursday afternoon, police said.
According to police, the shooting happened on the 4200 block of Everett Street, near the city’s Eastside neighborhood.
In a tweet at about 5:30 p.m. the Tacoma Police Department stated that two females and one male lost their lives on the spot while another male was taken to a hospital with critical condition.
At about 6:30 p.m., police department further said on Twitter that the person rushed to the hospital succumbed to his injuries.
Police officials told the media men that the victims appeared to be adults while police spokeswoman Wendy Haddow told that the firing incident happened in an alley behind a residence and that at least one victim was found in the street in front of the residence.
Police asked people to stay away from the affected area. Detectives and crime scene technicians were also present at the scene. (04)
