Micro smart lockdown enforced in several localities of Kemari District in Karachi

KARACHI: 25, MARCH, 2021: Five Union Councils of two sub-divisions of Kemari District put under smart lockdown to control the coronavirus spread.
According to the notification released by the Deputy Commissioner of the Kemari District of Karachi, localities in five Union Councils of two sub-divisions of Kemari District in Karachi have been placed under micro smart lockdown with an immediate effect until April 4.
The notification stated that business and industrial activities along with public gatherings are not allowed whereas the covid patients will remain under quarantine at homes.
A day earlier, in the wake of increasing number of coronavirus infections, three sub-divisions of Central District in Karachi have been placed under micro smart lockdown with an immediate effect until April 6.
According to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Karachi Central District, at least three sub-divisions of Central District in Karachi have been put under micro smart lockdown until April 6 to control the spread of the COVID-19.
The affected areas include Union Councils in North Karachi, North Nazimabad, and Liaquatabad.
Smart lockdown is being enforced after the District Health Officer pointed out coronavirus hotspots. All those entering and exiting the aforsaid areas will be required to wear face masks while the irrelevant people will not be allowed to pass these areas.
Pillion riding is also banned in affected areas while all commercial activities, including retail business and industrial units, shall remain suspended.
Gatherings will not be allowed in these areas as well during the period. (04)
