Muhammad Ajmal Gondal appointed as Auditor General of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: 14, SEPTEMBER, 2021: Muhammad Ajmal Gondal has been appointed as the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP).

A notification has been issued by the Finance Ministry in this regard. 

According to notification, "In exercise of the powers conferred under Article 168(1) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President has been pleased to appoint Muhammad Ajmal Gondal (PAS&AS/BS-22), presently posted as Member (Finance) Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) Islamabad, as Auditor General of Pakistan with immediate effect from the date he enters upon that office."

The AGP is a constitutional post and the appointment is made for a term of 4 years.

Muhammad Ajmal was the Senior most serving officer of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service.

Earlier he has also served on important posts as Controller General of Accounts Pakistan , the 55th Accountant General of KP, the Director General Federal Audit Islamabad. (04)
