Muree: 9 January 2022: Murree tragedy: Heavy snowfall took a toll of 21 precious lives. Very tragic. Metrological authorities had issued travel advisory days in advance. Neither local administration seem to have taken precautions, nor tourists paid heed to it. Murree has little capacity to play host to tens of hundreds of weekend tourists. It cannot provide parking facilities to thousands of vehicles. Fun-starved holiday makers throw caution to winds when it comes to respecting the traffic discipline. Whom to blame for this tragedy? Many families unfortunately destroyed.
