NCOC informs parts of country provided second batch of coronavirus vaccine

According to the national database, Sindh has been provided overall 1,21,000 vaccine shots while Punjab has been given 1,18,000 vaccine jabs.
In addition, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been supplied 28,000 vaccines, Balochistan 16,000, Islamabad 15,500, Azad Kashmir 11,000 and Gilgit-Baltistan region 5,000 vaccines till now, the NCOC statement added.
The number of coronavirus cases has jumped to 569,846 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 1,340 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the total count of active cases increased up to 24,081.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 255,430 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 166,777, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 70,716, in Balochistan 18,972 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 43,282, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,951 while 9,718 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 12,563 deaths so far, after 36 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 5,185 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 4,276 in Sindh, 2,027 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 199 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 488 deaths and AJK recorded 286 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 8,644,847 corona tests and 42,332 in last 24 hours and 533,202 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 238,498 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 154,568 in Punjab, 66,524 in KP, 18,689 in Balochistan, 41,203 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4,821 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 8,899 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,604 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
