NZ tour: Pakistan cricket squad allowed ending managed isolation

WELLINGTON: 08, DECEMBER, 2020: Pakistan cricket team in New Zealand have left managed isolation after final health clearance.
"After extensive testing and completion of their time in managed isolation in Christchurch, the Canterbury DHB medical officer of health is satisfied these people pose a very low risk to the community," the Health Ministry said in a statement.
The 52 members of the squad have arrived at a local hotel in Christchurch. After a two-hour stay at the hotel, the national squad will fly to Queenstown. The national squad will arrive in Queenstown at 8 pm local time.
The team and squad of Pakistani hawks will stay in separate hotels. A member of the squad will arrive in Queenstown today from Auckland. The other member will join the squad in Queenstown on Thursday.
Training will take place in Queenstown before the T20 and Test series.
The last health check-up of the Pakistani team in New Zealand is yet to take place. The T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand will start on December 18.
The Pakistan Cricket Board had announced an 18-member squad for the T20 against New Zealand.
The team will be led by Babar Azam and vice-captain Shadab Khan. Sarfraz Ahmed and Hussain Talat have returned to the T20 squad.Mohammad Rizwan, Haider Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Iftikhar Ahmad, Khushdal Shah, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Hasnain, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Usman Qadir, Wahab Riaz, Fahim Ashraf, Imad Wasim and Abdullah Shafiq are also in the team.
