Nine terrorists killed in Mastung operation: CTD

MASTUNG: 23, OCTOBER, 2021: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has killed nine terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Mastung on Saturday.
According to CTD spokesperson, the terrorists hiding in the area opened fire on the security personnel. In retaliation, the security officers killed nine militants. A large quantity of arms including nine Kalashnikov rifles, 20kg of explosive material, prima cord, detonator and RPG rockets were also recovered from the possession of the terrorists. Search operation is underway in the area, CTD official said.
Earlier, on October 13, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday claimed to have killed three terrorists of a banned outfit during an intelligence-based operation in Pakpattan.
According to CTD spokesperson, an intelligence based operation (IBO) carried out in Pakpattan during which terrorists hiding in the area opened fire.
The security personnel returned the fire, resulting three terrorist were killed and four to five terrorists managed to flee from the scene, the CTD spokesperson added.
He also informed that dead terrorists were involved in attack on 10 Muharram in Bahawalnagar.
Weapons and explosive material were also recovered from the hideout of the terrorists. (04)
