PM Imran to arrive in Karachi today to perform groundbreaking of KCR project

KARACHI: 27, SEPTEMBER, 2021: Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Karachi on a day-long visit today (Monday) to perform groundbreaking of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project. 

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold important meetings with Sindh Governor Imran Ismael and other party leaders.

The premier will be given briefing on various development projects in the city launched by the federal govt. PM Imran will also be apprised about the law and order situation in the city.

While talking to media, a day earlier, Governor Sindh said the groundbreaking ceremony of the KCR project will be held at Cantonment Railway Station. 

As many as 250 billion rupees worth Karachi Circular Railway project will be completed in three years, the Governor said, adding that, the track of KCR comprises 43 kilometres and 16 stations will be establish. 

The Green Line Bus Service will be allowed to function next month and K-4 water supply project will be completed by end of 2023, he informed. (04)
