PM likely to address nation today: Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD: 30, MARCH, 2022: Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to address the nation today (Wednesday) ahead of the debate on the no-confidence motion by joint opposition against the premier, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid informed.
Speaking to the media, the minister said the prime minister Imran Khan will address the nation later today after an emergency meeting of the federal cabinet.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened special session of federal cabinet today and heads of the allied parties have also been invited to attend the session.
Sources said, during the meeting, the cabinet members and other participants will be taken into confidence about the threatening document.
On the other hand, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader and Federal Law Minister Farogh Nasim on Wednesday has confirmed that the Prime Minister Imran Khan will shortly receive his resignation from the minister.
In a statement, the Minister of National Assembly (MNA) Farogh Nasim said that "He along with Information Technology (IT) Minister Amin-ul-Haque are resigning from their respective designations."
Naseem and Haque submitted their resignations to the prime minister.
It is to be noted that, the government has been experiencing back-to-back blows as the voting day on the Opposition's no-confidence motion nears.
As per MQM-P spokesperson, the central executive committee (CEC) of the PPP and MQM-P Rabita Committee ratified the agreement on Wednesday.
In this regard, the press conference will take place at 4:00pm today. (04)
