PM to arrive in Lahore on day-long visit today


LAHORE: 22, OCTOBER, 2021: Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Lahore on a day-long visit today (Friday) to preside over key meetings.
According to sources, the Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to hold separate meetings with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar during which the strategy of the Punjab government regarding the opposition's protests will be discussed.
As per sources, the law and order situation in the province will also come under discussion.
The premier will be apprised by the CM Buzdar about the administrative and political affairs of the province and the steps taken for the restoration of the local bodies.
On the other hand, the Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will present a report to the PM on his recent visit to Europe and issue of GSP Plus status, sources said.
During his stay in the city, the PM will hold consultation with the party leadership regarding by-elections in the province.
The session will be attended by the party leadership, important ministers and election campaign committee, sources informed. (04)
