Pakistan corona infection tally exceeds 52,000 with 1,101 fatalities

ISLAMABAD: 23, MAY, 2020: The novel coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached 52,473 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
The country is facing alarming situation as the infections are continously increasing.
According to the national dashboard on coronavirus, cases in Sindh jumped to 20,883, the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 18,730, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases climbed to 7,391, in Balochistan 3,198 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases climbed to 1,457, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 607, while 171 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the coronavirus death toll has jumped to 1,101, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 381 deaths, 340 in Punjab, 340 in Sindh, four in Gilgit-Baltistan and 39 in Balochistan and Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 12 deaths while one fatality was recorded in AJK.
As per official database, 16,653 patients have recovered across Pakistan. (04)
