Pakistan records 1467 coronavirus cases with two deaths in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: 11, JANUARY, 2022: Coronavirus infections tally in the country has mounted 1,307,174 on Tuesday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 1,467 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 3.33 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 488,608 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 448,479, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 181,790, in Balochistan 33,661 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 109,495, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,433 while 34,708 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,974 deaths so far, after two death was reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,081 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,682 in Sindh, 5,943 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 367 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 967 deaths and AJK recorded 748 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 23,891,112, corona tests and 43,540 in last 24 hours and 1,259,253 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 468,922 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 429,935 in Punjab, 175,261 in KP, 33,261 in Balochistan, 109,495 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,243 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,922 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 615 patients are in critical condition.
