Pakistan records 658 cases with 10 deaths in single day

ISLAMABAD: 30, OCTOBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has surged 1,272,345 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database 658 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.44 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 469,475 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 440,003, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 177,889, in Balochistan 33,244 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 106,874, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,390 while 34,470 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,439 deaths so far, after 10 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,915 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,563 in Sindh, 5,740 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 356 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 939 deaths and AJK recorded 740 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 20,750,978, corona tests and 45,690 in last 24 hours and 1,220,941 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 449,308 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 419,255 in Punjab, 170,185 in KP, 32,782 in Balochistan, 105,610 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,151 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,650 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,364 patients are in critical condition.
