Pakistan records sharp drop in coronavirus deaths with three fatalities

ISLAMABAD: 26, OCTOBER, 2020: The number of coronavirus infection in the country has reached 328,602 on Monday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 707 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 143,836 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 102,875, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 39,043, in Balochistan 15,810 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 19,012, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,180, while 3,846 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 6,739 deaths so far, after three fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Sindh recorded 2,598 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 2,335 in Punjab, 1,269 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 90 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 148 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 212 deaths and AJK recorded 87 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 4,290,545 corona tests and 26,492 in last 24 hours and 311,075 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 136654 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 97348 in Punjab, 37261 in KP, 15435 in Balochistan, 17454 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 3878 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 3045 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 559 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
