Pakistan registers 14 more COVID-19 deaths, 825 infections

ISLAMABAD: 28, OCTOBER, 2020: The number of coronavirus infection in the country has surged 330,200 on Wednesday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 825 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 144,449 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 103,314, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 39,189, in Balochistan 15,859 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 19,300, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,200, while 3,889 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 6,759 deaths so far, after 14 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Sindh recorded 2,604 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 2,342 in Punjab, 1,271 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 92 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 149 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 214 deaths and AJK recorded 87 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 4,347,155 corona tests and 29,477 in last 24 hours and 311,814 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 137041 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 97384 in Punjab, 37380 in KP, 15478 in Balochistan, 17547 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 3939 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 3045 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 611 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
