Pakistan registers 270 coronavirus cases with 10 deaths

ISLAMABAD: 17, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has mounted to 1,280,362 on Wednesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 270 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.84 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 473,293 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 442,068, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 179,276, in Balochistan 33,422 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,383, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,403 while 34,517 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,628 deaths so far, after 10 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,984 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,605 in Sindh, 5,805 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 358 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 949 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,484,466, corona tests and 32,006 in last 24 hours and 1,229,347 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 452,459 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 421,795 in Punjab, 172,083 in KP, 32,966 in Balochistan, 106,112 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,198 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,734 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,085 patients are in critical condition.
