Pakistan reports 1,072 new coronavirus cases with 62 deaths in single day

ISLAMABAD: 10, FEBRUARY, 2021: The number of coronavirus infections has jumped to 557,591 on Wednesday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 1,072 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 251,758 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 161,757, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 68,786, in Balochistan 18,891 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 42,188, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,920 while 9,291 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 12,128 deaths so far, after 62 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 4,948 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 4,157 in Sindh, 1,970 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 197 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 481 deaths and AJK recorded 273 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 8,288,091 corona tests and 31,713 in last 24 hours and 514,951 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 228,592 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 149,268 in Punjab, 64,653 in KP, 18,612 in Balochistan, 40,449 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4,795 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 8,582 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,744 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
